When it comes down to the nuts and bolts of how to drift, the major question often faced by rc drifters is, how to drift when you run the risk of burning out the clutch or overheating the engine?  The how-to-drift question is answered by the use of electric rc cars and nitro rc cars, which are apt for drifting as the throttle is controlled easier. The Physics Factor

As an RC car enters a tight corner at top speeds it looses its grip on the ground and the tail slides out which forces counter steering.  As the throttle is applied the car clips the corner in a sliding motion. The car maintains speed throughout the length of the corner and exits fast into the next corner.
